Alan Bentley, 63, from Brentwood in Essex, has been barred from acting as a director for 11 years after his company Bentley Global (UK) Limited went into administration owing investors millions pf pounds.

His brother, and co-director, Brian Bentley, 62, from Doncaster has also been disqualified for six years.

Bentley is a former Sky Sports presenter and before joining the broadcaster was training as a chartered accountant at former Big Six firm Arthur Andersen between August 1984 and May 1988. Since then, he has been CEO of several of his own sports betting companies, such as Private Line, Coal Media and Helandal.
