Complexity of reporting material information in sustainability standard

Companies preparing to implement ISSB sustainability standards need to understand how to report risks and material information, warns IFRS Foundation

In a bid to help reporters, IFRS Foundation has published a detailed guide to help companies identify sustainability-related risks and understand the concept of material information when applying ISSB standards.

The sustainability risk guide is designed to help companies identify and disclose material information about sustainability-related risks and opportunities that could reasonably be expected to affect cash flows, access to finance or cost of capital over the short, medium or long term.

This information is targeted at companies preparing for the implementation of the new sustainability standards developed by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
