In an article entitled SFO targets jailed solicitor’s ex-wife’s £1.5m Lake District house published on 20 January 2025, we incorrectly reported that Mr Richard Emmet (correct spelling: Richard Emmett) was involved in the Axiom Litigation Finance Fund Fraud. We apologise for this error.
Although Mr Emmett was charged with fraud and money laundering offences by the Serious Fraud Office, and was a co-defendant of Mr Schools, he was unanimously acquitted (12 jurors to nil) of the charges brought against him.
The article has now been appropriately amended.
