DJH acquires MSD in first Irish move

Private equity backed DJH has entered the Irish market for the first time with acquisition of MSD Accountants in Dublin

This is a major step for the Top 40 accounting group and is key to international expansion plans, giving DJH ‘a natural bridge to serve clients operating across the EU’, the firm said.

The partnership will also provide a strong link into the UK for MSD clients already operating there.

The MSD team of 30 in Dublin, based at Santry Business Park, will continue to be led by Richard Daly, managing partner and Brendan Murtagh, head of assurance, ensuring it is ‘business as usual’.

Formed in 1990, MSD Accountants provides specialist advisory, assurance, business support services and tax to subsidiaries of multinationals, mid-size private companies, family businesses and large organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.
