The former directors of Baldwins Accountancy Group, who quit the regional accounting firm more than a year ago, have now set up a new practice trading as BK Plus
The firm will be led by founding partners David Baldwin and Shaun Knight who have created the new accounting practice, to be known as BK Plus. It is based at Walsall Business Park and will target SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and larger corporate entities.
Baldwin and Knight built up Baldwins from a small regional practice with financial backing from HG Capital and went on the acquisition trail to grow the business into one of the top 20 firms in the UK with 95 offices at the time they left the business. However, they were forced out of the business in February 2020 with a new management team brought in at Baldwins by private equity backers HG Capital and the group was rebranded as Azets.
