Government to ban abusive use of NDAs for misconduct

The government plans to stop the use of non disclosure agreements (NDAs) for misconduct to stamp out sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace

The NDA change has been introduced as an amendment to the Employment Rights Bill, and is due to be debated in the House of Lords next week.

The Employment Rights Bill will ban employers from using non-disclosure agreements that silence workplace harassment and abuse.

The measure will void NDAs used by employers against employees who have been subjected to harassment, including sexual harassment or discrimination in the workplace.
