Impact on culture key to senior managers regime

Named senior managers need to abide by a regime that governs acceptable behaviour in FCA-regulated sectors, warns Mayer Brown partner James Whitaker

As most of those working in sectors regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) will be aware, the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, originally introduced in March 2016, has applied to all solo-regulated firms (including branches of non-UK firms with permission to carry out regulated activities in the UK), and individuals within them, since 9 December 2019.
