Top ten firm Mazars has appointed two women to its executive team as part of a reshuffle following the re-election of Phil Verity as the firm’s senior partner in the UK
Three existing executive team members - Tim Davies, UK head of tax, Alistair Fraser, who is UK chief operating officer, and Nigel Grummitt, UK head of financial advisory services - have been re-appointed.
They are joined by three new members. Jac Berry is an audit and advisory partner and UK head of quality and risk, while Elizabeth Maxwell is currently managing partner for the firm’s southern region (Sutton, Poole and Bristol offices), and Ian Wrightson is an audit and advisory partner and is currently managing partner for the northern region (Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh offices).
It represents a substantial change from its previous iteration, which was an all-male seven-strong team.
The new team will take up their positions on 15 February, supporting Verity in his next four-year term. Verity, who was first elected UK senior partner in 2012, has over 30 years of experience as an audit and advisory partner, having joined the firm as a graduate in 1986.
Verity, UK senior partner at Mazars, said: ‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank the current executive team who have done an excellent job over the last four years. I am excited to work with the new team to continue to drive our business forward, with a relentless focus on our clients and our people.’
