The general public often think that the sports star, whether they are a 16-year-old emerging footballer or a seasoned 40-year-old golfer get away with a variety of tax issues just because they are a ‘star’. However, they probably have more pitfalls than the average taxpayer and it does not particularly differ between a PRO14 rugby player and a multimillionaire premier league footballer.
