In August 2023 the Charity Commission received nine charity registration applications which were linked to a company called MWA Management Advisory Services Ltd).

The education charities had been set up by Richard Gary Lorrison, 56, from Oxford, who was the sole director and member of MWA, and was behind the registrations.
