When is the annual accounts deadline?

In general, private companies are required to file financial statements with Companies House within nine months from the end of the accounting period (accounting reference date or ARD).

Typically businesses with a December year-end have an annual accounts filing deadline of 30 September. There is an extension to this for the first filing after incorporation, and companies can extend periods or apply for extended reporting deadlines in extenuating circumstances.
