The Financial Reporting Council (FRC), in its role as the secretariat to the UK sustainability disclosure technical advisory committee (TAC), has recommended endorsement of the first two IFRS sustainability disclosure standards for use in the UK.

The government will now review the decision, and set out a timetable for adoption and the parameters for which types and thresholds of businesses will fall under the scope of the sustainability standards.
