A Cornish accountant has been charged with a £1m-plus tax fraud, together with theft and forgery offences.
Simon Terry Pearce, 46, from St Austell, faces two counts of cheating HMRC, 15 counts of fraud for abuse of position, one count of fraud for false representation, one count of obtaining a money transfer by deception, and one count of forgery.
He was charged at Newquay police station on Tuesday following an investigation by HMRC and released on conditional bail until November 6 to appear at Bodmin Magistrates' Court.
