In future, any companies reporting advance notification of redundancies when at least 20 jobs are at risk to the Redundancy Payments Service (RPS), part of the Insolvency Service, will have to submit the information online as the downloadable HR1 paper form has been withdrawn from use.

The Insolvency Service confirmed: ‘You can now complete the beta version of the HR1 form instead of a downloadable paper form. We no longer accept submissions of the paper form.’

There are a number of issues to bear in mind with the new online form, including the confirmation process once the completed HR1 is submitted.
