Australian senate committee to grill Microsoft, Google and Apple on tax affairs

The Australian government is holding public hearings this week to probe the tax affairs of Microsoft, Google and Apple, as part of a parliamentary enquiry into the use of tax avoidance and aggressive minimisation of tax by multinational corporations operating in Australia

Senior management from Microsoft, Google and Apple will appear at public hearings organised by the Senate Economics References Committee on 8, 9 and 10 April in various cities across the country. The day-long hearings will include a 90-minute session from ‘companies supplying digital services’.
