The deal sees Azets enter East Anglia for the first time and brings together two major accounting and business advisory firms, with a shared focus on people, long-term client relationships and sustainable growth.

Ensors will have its own dedicated regional leadership team, led by David Scrivener as regional managing director, East. Chartered accountant Scrivener was previously corporate finance and restructuring partner and has been at Ensors for 28 years.

For the time being, Ensors will continue to trade under its current brand endorsed as ‘part of Azets’ for approximately 12 months, during a phased integration period.

Established more than 130 years ago, Ensors reported fee income of £21.4m in FY24 and is ranked 57th in the Top 75 Firms survey. It has 14 partners and over 300 staff across six offices in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ipswich, Norwich and Saxmundham.
