Chancellor Alistair Darling has announced that 24 November will be the date that the pre-Budget report will be announced. Given the current economic climate, there has been vast speculation that the report may include tax cuts in a bid to boost the flailing economy. The report, initially expected to be released in October has been delayed as a result of financial crisis, but it is believed Monday has been given as the date so that Gordon Brown has time to consider the talks at the G20 summit this weekend.
