Most of us give to charity in some way or another, from a cash donation to volunteering our time. Some people want to do more and, when they do, they often think of setting up a charity. At the last count there were close to 168,000 charities in the UK and many of those were relatively small - 39% had an annual turnover of £10,000 or less.
