Cooper Parry acquires NI firm CavanaghKelly

Private equity backed Cooper Parry continues acquisition trail in first Northern Ireland deal with CavanaghKelly

This is the first move into Northern Ireland giving the firm a ‘foundation’ to build out its business significantly beyond its five core hubs in England, Cooper Parry said.

Des Kelly, founding partner and Catherine Martin, managing partner will both continue to lead the firm under the new Cooper Parry ownership, out of the current office in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. The firm’s seven partners will join the Cooper Parry partnership and the firm will be rebranded once the deal is completed by the end of July.

CavanaghKelly was set up in 2000 and has seven partners and a 100+ team of professional staff offering multi-service line accountancy and business advisory services. The firm reported more than £800,000 in capital and reserves in the latest accounts filed for FY23.
