Tom Seymour, former managing partner and CEO of PwC Australia from 2020 to 2023, who had been with the Big Four firm since 2002, has been suspended by the leading Australian professional institute, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ).

CA ANZ suspended Seymour’s membership for four years, removed his status as a fellow, and ordered him to pay a fine of $15,000 (£11,350), as well as a bill for $9,757 (£4,850) to cover legal costs.

The fifty-four-year-old worked at PwC Australia for more than two decades after joining the firm as a tax partner in 2002. Seymour resigned from PwC in May 2023, after the scandal about insider tax information broke.
