This is my second lockdown column and like anyone writing content (or speaking to friends), it’s a challenge. Life isn’t throwing up the same amount of incident as normal.
We’ve had lay-offs and furloughs, which has taken the shine off the good weather and I’ve become so sick of seeing my washed-out face on video calls all day, every day that I’ve considered investing in a more professional lighting set up to bring out my skin tones better.
Video calls have become the new office battleground. In the past, when on a call with a home worker you might see someone’s pants on a clothes horse in the background or someone’s husband staring into the fridge. A few months in and people have stepped up their game.
