FTSE 350 businesses lack gender diversity

Having more women in executive roles at the UK’s FTSE 350 companies could boost the economy by £58bn, according to a new report by The Pipeline

The Women Count 2022 Report found that a lack of gender diversity throughout FTSE 350 companies is costing the UK economy billions, with 96% of CEOs being male.

Women Count is a major annual report that looks into the number of women on executive committees in the FTSE 350, and compares the profits of companies with male-led management to those with more women on their executive teams.

The report shows that men still dominate the top of the UK's major businesses, with the number of male CEOs standing at 259 (96%) and the number of female CEOs at 12 (4%), up by four from last year.
