Grant Thornton reported revenue of £724m, up 11% year on year from £654m, for the financial year ending 31 December 2024. The double figure growth pushed Grant Thornton back into number six in the Top 75 Firms in the UK, a position it had not held since 2023.
Average profit per partner in 2024 rose by 6% to £682,000, up from £644,000 the previous year.
But profits were squeezed with slim operating profit growth of 0.4% to £147m, up from £146m the previous year. This was down sizeably on 18% uplift in profits for FY23.
Whilst the firm continued to grow sustainably across all its service lines, profitability at the firm was largely offset by transaction costs expensed in respect of professional fees relating to the equity investment from Cinven, along with continued investment in its people and operations throughout 2024.
