Private equity backed Grant Thornton plans multimillion pound technology upgrade, rollout of more AI, and major overhaul of working practices and business model to improve client services
The £500m investment will be achieved through a series of ‘defined milestones with new tools and platforms going live within weeks and months rather than years’.
The aim is to overhaul the way the firm operates, and the investment timetable is ‘is flexible over the next few years’, a spokesperson at Grant Thornton said.
The decision to make the multimillion investment is seen as essential for long-term growth as Grant Thornton stressed ‘the traditional advisory model is no longer fit for a modern digital economy that moves at breakneck speed’.
