Monthly GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.2% in March 2025, following unrevised growth of 0.5% in February 2025, ONS confirmed.
The last quarter was also looking good, with quarterly growth of 0.7% in the three months to March 2025, compared with the three months to December 2024 was mainly due to widespread growth in the services sector in this period. In March alone, this segment was up 0.4%.
Accounting industry revenues grew 5.5% in March 2025 to £4.16bn, compared to the previous month, the second highest average monthly revenue for the sector ever from £4.26bn in March 2023.
Julie Matheson, accounting industry regulatory partner at Kingsley Napley said: ‘The monthly figures are clearly impressive, however we should also bear in mind that March billings tend to be strong as many firms seek to wrap up year-end finances.
