All HMRC online guidance for agents will move to the gov.uk website by the end of the year as the current stand-alone HMRC site is phased out
The majority of HMRC tax agent and adviser content will transition in its current state, which effectively means that content will not be changed from the existing site, although it will be presented differently.
‘We’ll also create a specialist browse area for tax agents – bringing together the content you need,’ said HMRC in a blog for tax advisers.
HMRC will run a session with representatives from the main professional bodies shortly to demonstrate how the offering will look initially, and to seek comment and feedback before the move.
At the same time, work is continuing on developing the format for HMRC manuals on www.gov.uk, incorporating feedback and comments on the early prototype.
A beta version of this section of the site will be available soon.
‘Following transition, we’ll look for ways we can improve the agent proposition through feedback, data and by working with you over the coming months,’ said HMRC spokesperson Toni Clark on the HMRC tax advisers blog.
