HMRC has teamed up with Kantar Public to carry out research on employer National Insurance contribution (NIC) relief for employees under 21 and apprentices under 25, with those chosen having to contact HMRC if they do not wish to take part
Throughout April and May, research agency Kantar Public, on behalf of HMRC, will be contacting various employers of apprentices who are under 25 and individuals who are under 21 to get information on employers’ experiences of applying NIC relief.
HMRC and Kantar Public will send a joint letter to a sample of employers, which will show the logos of both organisations, inviting them to take part in the research.
If employers require further information or would like to opt out from taking part then they can contact either organisation through the contact details provided.
Those that have been contacted but do not wish to take part must phone or email Kantar Public with their name and reference number which can be found at the top of the letter.
Those who do wish to take part do not need to take any action.
