‘Hugely ambitious’ Affinia acquires £30m Wilson Partners

Private equity backed Affinia acquires Wilson Partners in a major signal of intent to rapidly grow the accountancy group as revenue tops £160m

Affinia, backed by RedBird Capital Partners, has acquired Wilson Partners, the Top 75 firm which also had investment from private equity through Fordhouse which has sold its share of the business.

Wilson Partners, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Maidenhead in Berkshire, was also private equity backed and the move marks a ‘hugely ambitious’ expansion for Affinia, which only set up as an accountancy and business advisory group in three years, and is now ranked as the 20th largest firm in the UK based on current rate, built on extensive M&A activity.

The group said Wilson Partners’ philosophy of ‘Making Life Count’ closely aligns with Affinia’s ‘people-first culture and purpose-led approach, creating a strong cultural fit’.
