The US tax authorites have updated the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) registration details on Form 8966.
The update supplements the instructions for Form 8966 to correct and clarify certain references to the reporting requirements of participating foreign financial institutions (FFIs) for the 2014 year, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
