Holding an annual general meeting in lockdown: new Q&As

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have released some questions and answers highlighting measures to be introduced to help companies holding their annual general meeting.

The AGM

Private companies do not have to hold an AGM each year, although they could choose to do so if they wish. A public company, however, must hold an AGM within six months of the end of its financial year.
