The Consumer Rights Act 2015 came into force in October affecting all businesses that supply goods or services to a ‘consumer’ – an individual who is acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

The existing statutory standards concerning the provision of services are maintained. This means that services must continue to be carried out with reasonable skill and care, within a reasonable time and for a reasonable price.
