Court of Appeal rules on valuation of partnership assets following dissolution

In Bahia v Sidhu & Anor [2024] EWCA Civ 605 the Court of Appeal held that on the dissolution of a partnership, the value of the partnership assets should be ascertained by the usual practice of a sale in the open market.

Although not an absolute rule, exceptional circumstances would be required to justify a departure from this practice.
