MHA plans £20m deal to buy Baker Tilly Cyprus

Accounting firm MHA is looking to make its first acquisition since listing on the London Stock Exchange last month with plan to buy Baker Tilly South East Europe

MHA has entered into an initial agreement for the acquisition of Baker Tilly South East Europe (BTSEE), for €24m (£20.4m). The firm has 16 offices in Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova. The transaction value will be confirmed after ‘completion of final due diligence’.

It has been less than a month since MHA listed on AIM raising £98m, the largest AIM IPO in the business support services sector for five years. It is now aiming for a top 10 firms ranking.

Baker Tilly South East Europe recorded a turnover for the year ended 31 December 2024 after partner remuneration of €29.03m according to the Baker Tilly SEE Transparency Report, up from €23.62m in FY23.

The audit revenue accounted for €22.07m for FY24 and the firm has 13 partners and 400 staff based across the five countries.
