Moore Kingston Smith quits GST audit over crypto ‘risk profile’

Moore Kingston Smith resigns as auditor of listed fintech GSTechnologies after reviewing risk profile following audit delays, citing client involvement with cryptocurrency trading and assets

The resignation follows the announcement by GSTechologies (GST) that the annual report and accounts were delayed and share trading was suspended on 1 August.

The decision by Moore Kingston Smith (MKS) comes three months after it was appointed in May this year, having inherited the audit account when it merged with Shipleys, which had audited GST since December 2022.

The risk issue centred around the firm's audit portfolio risk profile and the decision by MKS to resign any audit clients involved with cryptocurrency trading and assets.
