The merger has seen the two firms join Ascendant, the finance as a service group, with plans to build a national firm through organic growth and acquisition.
The two firms have combined revenues of £4m and a staff of five CFOs and over 50 team members supporting 200 clients, with a focus on high growth tech, software and e-commerce owner-managed businesses. Core services include digital accounting, finance team services replacing traditional in-house accountants, and CFO services.
Luke Streeter, flinder co-founder and chief operating officer, becomes Ascendant’s CEO for finance as a service, while Next Level Business founder Paul Layte will be group chief commercial officer.
Alastair Barlow, flinder’s former CEO and co-founder, is stepping back from the day-to-day business operations and will become a consultant to Ascendant and will support the group with growth through acquisition.
