A former Papa John's store manager in Harlow, Ashwani Kumar, has won an employment tribunal claim after alleging he was dismissed because of his ‘refusal to work on a cash in-hand basis’, and his ‘insistence on being paid through payslips and to have correct amounts for tax and national insurance being deducted and paid to the correct authorities’.

Kumar was employed by EEM London Ltd from February 2023, as manager of a Papa John's franchise store in Harlow, Essex.
