Grant Thornton has promoted Davyd Fisher to partner in the employer solutions leadership team in the tax practice. Based in Manchester, he specialises in global mobility tax services, managing complex cross-border taxation and social security, and his areas of expertise include tax policy, process compliance and consulting. In his new role, Fisher will also have a regional responsibility for growing the business in the north of England. Gil Oglesby has been appointed as a partner to lead the tax function transformation proposition, joining from ASOS where he was head of direct tax and transformation. Duncan Nott joins as a transfer pricing partner and brings over 25 years of specialist transfer pricing experience, most recently as a TP partner at RSM.

S&W, previously Evelyn Partners, has appointed Pete Davies as a partner to lead the forensic data analytics capability in the forensic services team based in London. He brings over 18 years of experience in technology, analysis, and transformation, advising clients and executing large-scale programmes to detect fraud, combat corruption and identify early signals of financial, legal, and regulatory challenges. Davies joins from EY where he was a director in the data analytics team.

Beavis Morgan has appointed Jamie Watson as group finance director to oversee financial strategy, performance and risk management across the group, working closely with senior leaders. He brings over 12 years of financial and commercial leadership experience with a strong track record across accountancy, private equity, and growth-focused businesses. Previously he was finance director at brand agency Hall & Partners, having originally trained as an ACA at RSM.

RSM has appointed Robbie Simpson as audit director, Ciaran Fines as assistant tax manager, and Naeema Joji as assistant audit manager, all based in Aberdeen. Simpson specialises in large complex audit engagements, and brings 15 years of experience and will focus on growing the office in Aberdeen and delivering statutory audit and assurance work. He joins from AAB where he was an audit director, and previously spent nine years at PwC, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. Fines joins from Azets where he was an assistant manager private client tax, while Joji was at KPMG for nearly five years, as an assistant manager in audit.

Starling Bank has appointed Ian Cox as group head of internal audit, subject to regulatory approval. With over 25 years in the financial services industry managing audit, risk, and governance, Cox will lead the internal audit function across the group, reporting to the board audit committee. Currently he is group chief internal auditor at digital payment solutions group, Network International, based in Dubai and was managing director for Barclays internal audit and a member of the bank’s executive committee. He originally trained at Robson Rhodes as a chartered accountant.

Equiom has promoted Vicky Stables to managing director of its Jersey office, a year after joining the firm as head of private wealth and family office – Jersey, bringing over 25 years of fiduciary experience. She has extensive experience in managing relationships with high net worth and ultra high net worth clients, particularly in Asia and the Middle East. Prior to this role, she was head of private client Jersey at Hawksford.​

The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) has appointed Nichola Ross Martin as president for a one-year term. Martin steps up from deputy president and is a technical consultant tax at 20:20 Innovation, after selling her practice to the group.  She will chair CIOT’s council of trustees and work closely with CEO Helen Whiteman and her team on governance, strategic direction, and member engagement.

Silverfin has appointed Stephanie Dechamps as vice president of marketing at the accountancy SaaS platform, based in the Bruseels office and reporting directly to CEO Lisa-Miles Heal. She brings extensive global experience from marketing leadership roles at Oracle and Boomi, where she helped scale brands across Europe and Asia Pacific, and will focus on expanding Silverfin’s international presence.

Bibby Financial Services has appointed Daniel Johnson as strategic IT director to support its growth strategy and he brings over 14 years’ experience in banking, fintech, insurance, and consulting, most recently as a founder and director of tech consultancy firm Future Workforce. The move follows the recent appointment of Mark Holloway as chief information and technology officer.
