Accounting and audit firm RSM has promoted tax partner Claire Spencer to head up the firm’s corporate tax capability in the Midlands. A key part of her role will be to spearhead a push to expand the firm’s ability to offer pan-regional, multifaceted advice that draws upon the expertise of the wider offices and teams. Spencer will lead a newly expanded team of corporate tax specialists out of Birmingham. She will draw upon her 17 plus years’ experience in Manchester working with large corporates and international groups and will look to replicate her success to grow RSM’s Birmingham offering, while driving collaboration between the two offices.

Ross Stupart is promoted to office managing partner of RSM’s Edinburgh office. He joined RSM in 2017 from KPMG and is a prominent tax adviser in the market advising fast growing global privately owned businesses. Stupart will also continue in his tax partner role and co-lead the firm’s tax transactions group in the UK.
