RSM has appointed Marion Hannon as its global leader for quality and risk, replacing Bob Dohrer who held the position for six years. Marion has more than 25 years of significant technical and professional experience gained from senior roles at PwC held in Ireland, Hong Kong and London. Hannon brings vast knowledge of global professional services, and specifically, audit quality, regulatory compliance, risk management and governance. RSM has also promoted Deborah Parks-Green to director. Parks-Green who began her career working for HMRC, joined RSM in 2005. She possesses a wealth of experience advising a wide range of businesses on employer tax compliance, tax efficient remuneration and exit planning. She also works with RSM’s legal services team to support businesses with national minimum wage reviews.

Saffery Champness has announced that partner Emma Hendron has been made head of the firm’s international practice group. Hendron specialises in international private client matters, advising a client base that includes entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals and family offices. She will work closely with partners across the UK and in overseas offices in Guernsey, Geneva, Zurich and Dubai, as well as with the Nexia International network, of which Saffery Champness is a UK member. Henron takes over the role from Clare Cromwell, who will now head up the firm’s London-based tax group.

KPMG has announced eight partner and 29 director promotions in its tax, pensions and legal services practice. The partner promotions are as follows:

• Sarah Anthony - national markets, indirect tax

Anthony is an indirect tax specialist, advising clients in the public and private sector across the North.

• Eleanor Bosley - financial services, real estate tax

Bosley provides UK and international real estate tax advice to a wide range of clients, including real estate funds/fund managers, pension funds, sovereigns, landed estates and property developers.

• Russell Gibson - national markets, private equity

Gibson advises alternative asset managers across private equity, infrastructure, credit and real-estate.

• William Gull - corporates, indirect tax

Gull is an indirect tax specialist, focused on industrial manufacturing and pharmaceutical clients.

• Kathryn Harding - national markets, global mobility services

Harding leads the global mobility services practice in the North, helping global companies manage the tax and social security implications of their international workforce.

• Rick Nash - financial services, deal advisory

Nash is an M&A tax specialist, advising global institutional investors on their acquisition of UK and European infrastructure investments.

• Bhupinder Purewal - national markets, deal advisory

Purewal advises clients on the tax aspects of UK and cross border M&A transactions, which includes tax due diligence, structuring and post deal integration.

• Bethan Thomas - corporates, global mobility services

Thomas specialises in expatriate tax issues and has extensive experience in implementing global shadow payroll and year-end compensation collection services for large multi-national organisations.
