In this week’s accountancy career moves, partners at Thomas Westcott and EY, hires at RSM and UHY Hacker Young and a non-executive director for Rolls-Royce
Thomas Westcott has appointed Ian Pring as partner based in the firm’s Plymouth office. Pring has joined following a 30-year career at PKF Francis Clark, where he was director of the firm’s property and wealth teams.
Sally Jones joins EY as partner and trade policy leader, having previously worked at Deloitte as director of international trade policy. She specialises in trade policy from both a global and Brexit perspective.
UHY Hacker Young has appointed Tracey Moore as head of charities and not for profit. She takes over from partner at the firm, Subarna Banerjee who has headed the group for the last five years. Banerjee will step down from the director role but remain part of the charities and not for profit team. Moore joined the firm in 2019 and has over 20 years of experience working in the not for profit sector. She previously worked as director of charities and not for profit at BDO.
RSM has appointed Julie Moore as employment tax director to lead the employer solutions team in the north west. Moore joins from PwC where she was a senior manager.
Phil Tarimo joins Dow Schofield Watts as head of debt advisory. Tarimo will lead DSW Debt Advisory which is aimed at medium-sized companies seeking debt funding of £20m or above. He was previously chief operating officer at lending company DF Capital.
Rolls-Royce has appointed Dame Angela Strank as a non-executive director. She will join the board with effect from 1 May 2020. Strank is a chartered engineer and is currently chief scientist and head of downstream technology at BP and a member of their executive management team.
Pension scheme investment company, CEM Benchmarking has appointed Rhijuta Dahal and Joao Barata as investment analysts and David Jennings as a client relationship manager. Dahal formerly worked as a senior investment analyst at Mercer UK and Barata also previously held a senior investment analyst position, at Lane Clark & Peacock. Jennings previously worked as a client relationship manager at Lazard Asset Management.
