Protecting confidential data when hybrid working

Remote working is nothing new, but businesses have become far more familiar with the concept since Covid-19, but it raises serious questions about data confidentiality, explains Bruce Penson, managing director at ProDrive IT

 

Now that lockdown restrictions have been lifted, will things go back to how they were before? Unlikely. After all, why would staff want to give up their newfound work-life balance?

Indeed, the rise of home working will last long beyond the pandemic. But rather than going fully remote, many firms will likely take a more hybrid approach, with workers dividing their time between home, the office and even co-working spaces.

Sounds like the best of both worlds. And it would be if it wasn't for one growing problem: cyber security.
