Three directors have been fined a total of £553 after failing to comply with identity verification requirements in first court action brought by the Insolvency Service for breaches of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA 2023), which was brought in to ensure that individuals setting up, running and controlling companies are who they claim to be.
Jill White, 62, of Princes Riseborough, Buckinghamshire, and Marc Dillon, 62, of Benson, Oxfordshire, both directors of White (Reading Properties) Limited (WRPL), and Modinat Banjo, 50, of Deptford, London, director of J Isogony Apparel Limited (JIAL), were fined at City of London Magistrates’ Court this week.
All three directors failed to comply with the mandatory ID verification rules, introduced from 18 November 2025.
