Regulators push for global crypto standards

Financial watchdogs need to focus on tightening up regulation of the cryptocurrency industry in early 2023, says PwC

With crypto firm failures, fraud, scams and mismanagement of customer funds, the cryptoasset industry requires consistent regulation around the world, warned PwC.

The PwC Global Crypto Regulation 2023 report outlines the current developments and implementation of critical cryptoasset regulation in over 25 jurisdictions.

Overall, the report found that a significant number of countries are already researching, defining and legislating regulatory rules. However, the speed of action remains heavily fragmented.
