Nine of the top 20 richest teams in Europe are English clubs in the Premier League, with Manchester City’s revenue of €837.8m (£679.6m) securing second spot for the club behind Real Madrid. English club’s revenue in the top twenty accounted for £4.4bn.
In a record year for Spanish giants Real Madrid, the club once again secured top spot, busting the $1bn revenue barrier for the first time. In the 2023/24 season, earnings hit €1.045bn (£845.7m), with the majority coming from commercial revenue, according to the annual Deloitte Football Money League.
Despite some questionable performance on the pitch and poor results, both Manchester City and Manchester United remained the richest clubs in the country, while the top 10 reflects the Premier League’s reputation as the most followed league in the world.
