Tax professionals 'most considerate'

Tax professionals have been revealed as more considerate towards their co-workers than other workers in the financial services sector. Nearly 60% said they would cut their hours in order to save a colleague's job, compared to 52.2% over the entire sector in the City, research by recruitment company the GRS Group has revealed. Big Four firm KPMG became the first accounting firm to offer its staff a shorter working week in a bid to stave off redundancy measures. Last week, the firm confirmed over 85% of its staff had opted for a four-day week, should KPMG need to implement it. Lucinda Brown, managing director GRS UK, said that London's professionals are 'increasingly having to face up to the fact that the future holds not only a reduced working week, but also pay cuts'.
