2018 continued its trend of positivity; with a busy second quarter hiring figures have improved significantly. Despite not being in the post-bonus period, there has been uplift in candidates seeking new opportunities.

The retail sector seems to be one of the most competitive industries at present, with the demise of large retail organisations with the past few months seeing closures at House of Fraser, Poundworld, Mothercare and Marks & Spencer. Since 2008, 11,000 high street outlets have gone under. Despite the struggles of the sector, there are certain businesses that are managing to break the mould, growing both revenue and profitability.
