Accountancy vacancies reach all-time high

Job vacancies for accountants in commerce and industry have reached an all-time high with 1,266 vacancies in January 2022

A report by recruiters Morgan McKinley and data analysts Vacancysoft reveals that hiring levels for commerce and industry accountants reached an all time high in January 2022 with the number of vacancies being 73% higher than January 2021’s figure of 732.

Vacancies for accountants have remained high through the first quarter of 2022 with February and March recording 1,209 and 11,84 respectively.

This has continued the trend through 2021 which saw accountant vacancies remain above 1,000 from March 2021 onwards, apart from May 2021 which saw 859 vacancies, after it dipped to the lowest level of 311 in April 2020.
