Fair play rules set to disrupt football

Fair play rules aimed at improving the financial health of English football clubs could lead to more going into administration.

Championship clubs voted in favour of a break-even approach based on UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, set to be implemented across all three football league divisions from 2013, with exclusions from European competitions, including the Champions League, for non-compliance.
