SEC delays IFRS decision

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has delayed its decision on whether to incorporate International Financial Reporting Standards into the US financial reporting system, which had been expected in December.

In a speech to the American Institute of CPA’s national conference on current SEC and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) developments, SEC chief accountant James Kroeker said his staff will ‘take a measure of a few additional months’ to finish its work plan.
