AI will free up time for advisory work

Artificial intelligence (AI) will play a key role in helping accountants to grow their business advisory services as commoditised manual tasks are automated

Almost nine in 10 (86%) accountants said that within the next five years, AI will play a crucial role in their ability to be an effective strategic business partner to their clients, showed research by Intuit QuickBooks.

The most commonly cited benefit of AI was seen as the time saved through automation, providing personalisation, prediction and learning.

This will leave more time for accountants to offer business advice (39% of those surveyed agreed), reduce the burden on human resource (33%) and an improve their ability to spot data trends (33%).
